REFUGE OF THE HERONS. A Photo of the Month Winner (July 2019) of the monthly photo competition by DENR's Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) featuring the sanctuary of Night Herons located in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.

HIS HIGHNESS. Finalist of 2020 Haring Ibon Art and Photography Competition, Captive Category 

This is a photo of an Everett's White Eye taken in sitio Karilongan, Carmen, Baguio District, Davao City which won Grand Prize winner during the Environment Fair conducted by Malayan Colleges Mindanao last August 2019.

BULAWANONG KAANYAG. Taken during the 50th Araw ng Davao del Sur celebration and was adjudged 2nd Runner Up in the Main Event category of the province's photography competition.

LUNGSOD NA HINIHIRANG. Runner Up citation of the Araw ng Davao "Hulagway sa Dabaw" Photo Contest. Photo taken at Waterfront Insular Hotel, Lanang, Davao City.

MADAYAW DABAW. This is one of my candid shots during the Kadayawan sa Davao Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan 2010. It has recently shortlisted in Maybank "Inspiring Asia" Photography Awards Portraits Category along with some entries from all over Southeast Asia. In a prestigious photography competition such as Maybank's, making it to the finals is already an achievement, while winning is secondary. 

NONG MARIO. This photo was featured in Department of Tourism's promotional materials, which included as portfolio of President Benigno Aquino's 3rd State of the Nation Address (SONA). It is also included in the collection of photos printed in Davao City's Mabuhay Taxi as part of the Memorandum of Agreement between the taxi company and DOT XI. It also appeared in over a hundred double-decker buses and black cabs in London, England as part of DOT's stronger campaigns in Europe introducing new and instant destinations in the Philippines. The model of this picture, who eventually passed away less than a year after it was taken, was a Bagobo Basketry master artist in Tibolo, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.

A VIEW FROM ABOVE. Taken at the roof of the Philippines - MT. APO - this photo was an entry into the first Bansalan Digital Photography Competition that won 2nd runner up. The beautiful panorama of the picture translates how  the region's banner program for eco-tourism is doing well especially on Mt. Apo mountaineering and other outdoor activities. 

KAPIT. This photo made it to the top 15 finalists of the 2nd Allo Tangogoan Digital Photography competition in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur. 

OUTDOOR GETAWAY. This photo has made it to the finals of the Pundokan 2014 Photo Contest, showcasing spots in Davao ideal for group gatherings. The contest was in line with the celebration of Araw ng Davao 2014.

BAGOBO-TAGABAWA CHILD. A very popular picture of a tribal child located in Tibolo, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur harvesting vegetables. It depicts the richness of the place in terms of natural and cultural heritage. The photo was adjudged finalist of the 2013 First National Photography Competition of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) that won 20,000 pesos.

SIS ACT. This photo was taken somewhere in Darong, Sta. Cruz; showing a child taking care of her younger sister. This act is common in rural areas where poverty is prevailing, prompting parents to leave their babies to older brothers or sisters so that they could work to their farms or to seek employment. The photo made it to the finals of CNET Asia's Truly Touching Moment Photography Competition.  

TINAP-ANAN. Included in the top ten finalists of OASP's  (Onanysundayphotowalk) Food Photography Photo Challenge (February 21, 2014)

MHW AT MT. APO. This photo was used for promotional purposes of Mountain Hard Wear, a famous brand of mountaineering and outdoor gear and equipment. It was taken at the summit of the Philippines' highest mountain - MT. APO. The model is Miss Marites Gonzaga, Mutya ng Sta. Cruz 2010.
