No Place like Home

This is a picture taken in the Badjao community, a place I considered my third home (after my family's house and Mt. Apo). The warmth of the kids there and the simplicity of their way of living are the reasons why I always visit this place. This one is a photo of one of their houses in the village.

Hitting the Trail

Just a little hike from Tinikaran Campsite 2 of Sibulan trail to Mt. Apo is this portion of fallen logs. With the slippery moss of the logs, hikers need to take extra caution to avoid accident and injury. Taken on December 27, 2014. The model is a participant of Conquer Outdoor Equipment's Hitting the Trail, Engr. Franz Sandoval.

Daybreak Catch

Ever since I started photography I always have this urge to shoot human activity with the daybreak as background. Here is one photo I took somewhere in Sta. Cruz shores with this fisher folk showing his early morning catch.

Lighthouse Family

This photo was taken in sitio Bitaug, Barangay Zone 4 of Sta. Cruz. A community is dwelling in a small village located near the light house of Bitaug where they interact with each other. The main source of income is fishing as the village faces Davao Gulf.

Zambo Fisher

On my way to Sta. Cruz Island in Zamboanga City last November 14, 2014, I spotted this fisherman who was about to go fishing the vast waters of Basilan Strait using a traditional spear method. His backdrop is the Small Sta. Cruz Island. Zamboanga Peninsula is an island with a very long coastal stretch which is very ideal for fishing and it is the major source of income for its residents.

Philippine Jeepney

Here is my share of a photo of a popular Philippine Jeepney. Obviously found only in the Philippines, jeepneys have become part of the culture of Filipinos as one of the major transportation mode all over the country. This was taken last September 5, 2014 in Manolo Fortich highway, Province of Bukidnon.

Ang Panday

Just yesterday (October 15, 2014) I saw this carpenter doing his chore while I took pictures of the on-going construction of a new public market building in Escandor area. One of the few experiments I did using the Nikon D5200, an equipment I temporarily adopted from the LGU's Planning Office.
