Ruralogy

I took this photo somewhere in General Santos City on May 18, 2014 when we were on our way home after attending the Sarangani Bay Festival. The common rural setting is spectacular while the rainbow also added some drama to this image. Indeed, rural life is peaceful and beautiful.

Manual Alternates

This photo was taken in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, depicting town folks in struggle versus the present power shortage in majority of the places in Mindanao. With the crisis being felt today, firewood and trisikads can be alternative solutions to counter the problem, especially with oil and LPG prizes heavily increasing.

Fisherman in Dahican

Aside from tourism, the 7-kilometer coastal stretch of Dahican beach in Mati City, Davao Oriental also offers wider opportunities for the fisher folks in the place in terms of fishing. I took this picture  last February 2014 with a fisherman I caught up while photowalking in the place. It is indeed very evident that Dahican is a jewel in the orient seas of Mindanao.

Towards Uncertainty

Each year, plenty of students graduate in the country.  To some, it will be a blessing as it paid off all the efforts exerted during the whole course of studying, not to mention the expenses. To few, it will be more of another phase of a frustration because additional statistics for unemployed will be recorded. Which remains to be a challenge to the Philippine government and of course, to the graduates themselves.
